Hold Lab

Method

A page names one job, reads the Amazon listing against that job, and tells you when to skip. We do not rank products by Amazon stars.

What a listing check covers

Published span versus the cabinet you measured, door thickness versus a hollow-core interior, or wall surface versus the listing. Whether the install needs holes or adhesive. The maker’s stated load, labeled as theirs. Pass means the listing matches the job. Watch means a caveat you should read. Fail means skip.

What it is not

It is not a measured hang or a residue check after removal. We do not invent those numbers.

No-drill rule

A product that needs holes cannot be the pick on a no-drill page, even if it would hold more weight.

What never picks the product

Amazon star rating, review count, sponsored rank, and commission rate.

When a guide changes

After a listing span or size chip changes, after a recall, or after the pick is out of stock. Changes land on Updates.
