How Hold Lab picks no-drill storage

Each guide starts with one storage problem, such as coats on a door or spray bottles under the sink. It names a product whose Amazon listing fits that problem, and it tells you when to skip it. Products are not ranked by Amazon star ratings.

We don't test products; we read the maker's stated load and the surfaces it lists.

How we check each pick

We read the Amazon listing and check it against your job: the cabinet width, your door's thickness, or your wall surface. We note whether it needs holes or sticky strips, and we show the weight the maker says it holds. Pass means it fits. Watch means read the note first. Fail means skip it.

What we don't do

Hold Lab does not hang-test products or check for residue after removal, and it does not make up numbers for either. Every weight and surface on the site comes from the maker or the amazon.com listing.

Nothing that needs holes

If a product needs screws or nails, it can't be the pick on a Hold Lab guide, even if it would hold more weight.

What doesn't affect the pick

Star ratings, review counts, sponsored placement and commission rates play no part in which product a guide picks.

When a guide changes

A guide is updated when a listing changes its sizes, when a product is recalled, or when the pick goes out of stock. Each change is logged on the Updates page.
